Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic for a great opportunity in the Midland area. We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, safety-focused, and experienced with troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of heavy equipment and machinery

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and equipment-related issues

• Repair or replace worn and damaged components

• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and other scheduled maintenance

• Inspect equipment to ensure it is safe and ready for operation

• Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools to complete repairs

• Maintain accurate service and repair records

• Keep the shop, tools, and work areas clean and organized

• Follow all company and shop safety procedures

• Assist with additional shop duties as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience required

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems preferred

• Experience working on construction, rental, industrial, agricultural, or oilfield equipment is a plus

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods

• Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to safety

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Valid driver's license preferred

PAY

$25–$33/HR DOE

Your experience matters — pay will be based on your mechanical background and qualifications.
