Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is hiring a Shop Mechanic in the Fruitland area. The role involves maintaining and repairing essential equipment to keep operations running smoothly, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and pay at $25.00 per hour.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, replace parts, and manage costs while keeping the shop safe and organized. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience using shop equipment such as welders, drill presses, carbon sensors, and other mechanical tools.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor shop conditions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts, trash trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, and parts trucks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose issues and order replacement parts as needed.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and document all maintenance performed.
• Track parts used and maintain accurate records of costs.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating safely.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts for easy access.
• Determine when equipment should be repaired in-house or sent to a dealership.
