Job summary

Cleland Site Prep, LLC is seeking a Shop Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment, focusing on heavy-duty trucks, trailers and pickups. You’ll work to keep our fleet in top condition, supporting projects across the region.

Candidates should have at least two years of experience, provide their own hand tools, and follow safety rules. You will order parts, maintain records, and operate in varied weather and shop conditions.

Primary Functions of the Shop Mechanic:

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing and repairing construction equipment with a primary focus on heavy duty trucks, trailers and pickup trucks.

Main Responsibilities and Qualifications of the Shop Mechanic:

• Able to follow company safety rules and regulations
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience
• Must provide own hand tools
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company equipment
• Order parts and supplies as needed for repairs to be performed
• Maintain accurate records of time, parts, and materials
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and climb onto equipment (3-4 ft)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Ability to work in varied weather and shop conditions
• Notify management of any company equipment or vehicles that are not serviceable
