Job summary

L&L Metal Fabrication in Tontitown, AR is seeking a Shop Manager to lead daily operations of its custom metal fabrication shop. You will supervise staff, align fabrication priorities with Project Managers, and ensure a productive, safe work environment while maintaining inventory and warehouse control.

The ideal candidate has strong metal fabrication knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to read drawings and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced shop setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a metal fabrication shop.
• Ability to read shop drawings and blueprints.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks.
• Knowledge of material types, gauges, and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct shop employees and daily workflow
• Coordinate fabrication schedules and priorities with Project Managers
• Monitor quality, productivity, attendance, and housekeeping
• Oversee maintenance and proper use of shop equipment and machinery
• Oversee the organization and storage of warehouse inventory, raw materials, remnants, and finished products
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies, procedures, break policies, OSHA standards, safe practices, and PPE
• Identify material, equipment, staffing, or production issues and communicate them promptly
• Ensure the shop remains organized and efficient
• Provide regular shop status updates to leadership
