Job summary

L&L Metal Fabrication is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our custom metal fabrication shop in Arkansas. You will supervise shop employees, coordinate fabrication priorities with Project Managers, maintain an organized and productive shop, oversee equipment maintenance, and manage materials in the warehouse.

Qualifications

• Strong metal fabrication and welding knowledge.
• Previous shop leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Hands-on experience with common fabrication equipment and tools, including press brakes, shears, saws, welding stations, and forklifts.
• Experience with material organization, storage, and inventory management.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Full-time, on-site availability in Tontitown, Arkansas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct shop employees and daily workflow
• Coordinate fabrication schedules and priorities with Project Managers
• Monitor quality, productivity, attendance, and housekeeping
• Oversee maintenance and proper use of shop equipment and machinery
• Oversee the organization and storage of warehouse inventory, raw materials, remnants, and finished products
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies, procedures, break policies, OSHA standards, safe work practices, and PPE use
• Identify material, equipment, staffing, or production issues and communicate them promptly
• Ensure the shop remains organized and efficient
• Provide regular shop status updates to leadership
