Job summary

Axiom Custom Products is seeking a hands-on Metal Manager to lead our metal fabrication shop. You will guide the team on the shop floor, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality production from planning to final assembly.

You will translate project requirements into actionable work instructions, set procedures, and coordinate with operations, purchasing, CNC, and engineering to keep workflows aligned and on schedule. Strong welding and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong background in metal fabrication, including MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with confidence.
• Proven leadership experience on a shop floor.
• Commitment to safety protocols and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day metal shop operations and workflow on the shop floor.
• Translate project requirements into clear work instructions and procedures.
• Plan and schedule production; coordinate with operations, purchasing, CNC, and engineering.
• Inspect cuts, fit-ups, and welds; perform quality control to meet specs.
• Manage labor hours, deadlines, and cross-functional communication to prevent delays.
