Job summary
Sunny Stitches Denver is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day retail experience in our Wash Park needlepoint shop. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves retail, enjoys leading a team, and keeps a busy shop organized, welcoming and running smoothly.
The regular schedule is Tuesday through Saturday with one Sunday per month. Weekend availability is essential, and the right candidate will drive sales through excellent service and product
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience, required.
- Experience leading and motivating a retail team.
- Strong customer service instincts and enjoyment of working with people.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
- Comfortable with retail technology and POS systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the retail shop
- Ensure every customer receives a warm, helpful and consistent Sunny Stitches experience
- Lead and provide day-to-day direction to Shop Associates
- Train and onboard new Shop Associates and provide ongoing coaching
- Maintain organized, welcoming, and well-merchandised store spaces
- Drive sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Oversee opening/closing procedures and merchandising of new products
- Identify staffing or performance issues and communicate them to the owner
