OTC Industrial Technologies in Metropolis, IL, seeks a Shop Lead to supervise technicians in a 24/7 Honeywell Pump & Machine Shop, develop scope and labor estimates, and ensure accurate service documentation. The role emphasizes safety, policy compliance, and hands-on leadership.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in rotating equipment repair, 1–2 years in a lead role, and SAP proficiency, along with strong measurement tool skills and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or mechanical certification preferred.
• Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment repair in an industrial environment.
• At least 1-2 years of lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Work in shop/field settings with exposure to noise, grease, and rotating machinery.
• Must lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and management skills, along with cohesive team building.
• May be required to work overtime or on call; 24/7 location.

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $50.00/hr. to $70.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do
