Job summary

Quality Repair Solutions (QRS) seeks a Shop Helper in Williamsport, MD to assist mechanics with preventive maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer units. You will annotate maintenance work in software and perform general shop duties under the Shop Manager.

The role requires a HS diploma and 1-2 years of basic maintenance or mechanic experience, plus a valid driver’s license. Full-time, Monday–Friday, with competitive pay and benefits including 401K match and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade or technical school graduate.
• 1-2 years of basic maintenance and/or mechanic experience.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with preventive maintenance on tractors and cargo trailers.
• Assist with moderate to complex repairs on engines, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Document maintenance work in the maintenance management software.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in terminal and shop facilities.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards.
