Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Shop Foreman to oversee all maintenance operations during shift, ensuring preventive maintenance, timely repairs and compliance with contractual requirements.

You will lead maintenance and utility staff, manage budgets, train the team, coordinate with the Fleet Manager, and apply expertise in air conditioning, diesel systems, electrical diagnosis, emissions and wheelchair lifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to prioritize and schedule work, projects and assignments.
• Experience tracking parts inventories, vendors and supplies.
• Ability to manage financial/accounting aspects of fleet maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheets (MS Office).
• Technical competence in heavy diesel vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
• Demonstrates initiative, professionalism and tact.
• Diesel experience preferred; ASE certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance operations during shift, including preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Manage maintenance and utility staff; train and develop team.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and reporting obligations.
• Manage the maintenance program budget and financials; coordinate with Fleet Manager.
• Apply expertise in air conditioning systems, transmissions, electrical diagnosis, emissions, and wheelchair lifts.
