Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee and lead assigned programs/staff in the district.
• Provide supervision to equipment mechanic crews.
• Perform skilled work in the maintenance of district vehicles.
• Serve as acting supervisor in absence of the equipment maintenance supervisor.
• Monitor work completion for timely quality.
• Inspect for quality assurance.
• Recommend improvements and ensure NC safety emission standards compliance.
• Prepare reports for the NC Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Maintain shop documentation and records.
• Facilitate staff meetings and professional development.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
