Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a buildings services equipment shop foreman to supervise the shop and lead mechanical maintenance and repair activities. You will organize site work, schedule tasks, and implement fiscally responsible policies under the direction of the Supervisor, Equipment Maintenance.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and ability to coordinate with staff to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in automotive technologies (ASE master technician) preferred.
• Minimum of three years' experience in automotive diagnostics, maintenance, or repair.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee and lead assigned programs and staff.
• Provide supervision to equipment mechanic crews.
• Perform skilled maintenance on district vehicles.
• Manage documentation and reports for inspections.
