Lakeside International, L.L.C. is seeking a Shop Foreman in Rockford to optimize production by directing and supervising technicians and shop workflow. You will ensure tasks stay on track and paperwork is properly completed.

Responsibilities include serving as main shop contact for service advisors, maintaining customer relations, dispatching jobs appropriately, and enforcing safety and warranty procedures. A strong team leadership background and knowledge of heavy-duty systems are essential.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; diesel tech training preferred.
• 5 years of related experience in heavy-duty shop/service operation.
• Experience managing technicians; ability to lead a team.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs and carry weight up to 5 feet.

The Shop Forman optimizes production by directing, coordinating, and supervising the daily activities of technicians and shop workflow. Ensures technicians are staying on task, procedures are followed and paperwork is done correctly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in diesel technology preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• 5 years of related experience in a heavy-duty shop / service operation
• Experience managing technicians
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Knowledge of mechanical repair (medium- and heavy-duty truck systems preferred)
• Understanding of engine repairs, tune-ups, diagnosing and testing
• Knowledge of electrical systems electrical/electronic diagnosing and testing
• Knowledge of cab, suspension, air brake, hydraulic brake, steering gear & springs, Clutch, transmission and differential and all other components / systems
• Active desire to develop professional skills and have an active role in career growth
• Must be able to lift 75lbs and carry weight up to a distance of 5 feet.
