Trailer Mechanic

Shift Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay

$19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical and/or tank trailer repair experience.
• CDL Class-A Driver license.
• Ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional).
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Physical Demands

• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
