Job summary

Eaton is seeking a HR Training Manager for the Jonesville, SC facility. This on-site role focuses on owning and improving the training system for hourly manufacturing employees to ensure competency, quality, safety, and productivity on the shop floor.

The position emphasizes hands-on training, cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Quality, and the development of scalable training programs, metrics, and modern delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2 years leading manufacturing training/OJT in a plant environment.
• At least 2 years of building training that improves measurable outcomes (quality, safety, productivity).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hourly production training, including onboarding, OJT, cross-training, certification, and refresher training.
• Establish clear training expectations for each core production role, including defined training paths, timelines, and competency requirements.
• Ensure training is consistent across shifts, value streams, and trainers.
• Implement and enforce competency verification and use data to drive corrective actions.
• Maintain training documentation and records to be audit-ready and measure time-to-competency and certification accuracy.
• Evaluate and pilot modern training methods (simulation, video, eLearning).
