Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Training Associate in the Panelboard (PNBD) area. This position is based out of our Sumter, SC facility and is open to candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of the facility.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
The hourly rate is $26.00 per hour, with eligibility for a variable incentive program.
What you’ll do:
- Lead coordination, delivery, and maintenance of department‑specific training for all full‑time and contingent workers within the Panelboard department, including OJT checklists, skills assessments, annual training plans, and Eaton University LMS requirements.
- Develop department‑specific training content utilizing various media, including PowerPoint presentations, video, and photography.
- Partner with department leaders to update training content, maintain training records, and ensure compliance with internal systems and programs.
- Serve as the department subject‑matter expert (SME) for training in the Panelboard area.
- Manage and document learning using the Eaton corporate learning management system, Eaton University.
- Manage department training updates and communications via monthly reports, training matrices, meetings, and monitors.
- Support special projects, internal and external benchmarking, and facilitate department training sessions as assigned.
- Drive continuous improvement and support 5S+ initiatives in support of a Zero Incident Culture.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility or environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering and developing training using adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and provide unbiased feedback to learners.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
- Relocation benefit is not offered; only candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of Sumter are considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience at an Eaton manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated proficiency with e‑learning software (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, etc.).
- Train‑the‑trainer qualification.
- Experience developing training material using the ADDIE model or similar methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively to trainees in both on‑floor and classroom environments.
- At least 1 year of experience developing video and photo content.

Physical Demands
The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee frequently lifts or carries up to 35 pounds and may push or pull greater than 35 pounds. Visual and auditory requirements include distance and near vision with depth perception and color discrimination, as well as the ability to listen and talk.
