Job summary
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Software Engineer to support manufacturing shop floor applications, including HMI/SCADA interfaces, machine tools, and reporting tools. You will analyze performance, troubleshoot, and adapt legacy systems to current technologies.
The role requires a STEM degree and 2+ years in software engineering within manufacturing; familiarity with .NET/Java/Python, Oracle/SQL Server, and version control is preferred. Onsite work with RTX manufacturing teams is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of software engineering experience in manufacturing operations or similar environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a programming language such as .NET, Java, or Python.
- Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server or other relational databases; experience with Git or other source control tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and troubleshoot custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing applications for the shop floor.
- Design and create HMI/SCADA interfaces for shop floor machine tools.
- Design and implement reporting solutions and data analysis to support plant operations.
- Convert legacy software applications to current technologies.
