Job summary

GKN Aerospace in Alabama is seeking a Production Scheduler to manage Shop Floor Scheduling in the Production Area. You will oversee visual systems communicating production order sequences and ensure resources are available for on-time manufacturing.

The role requires coordinating with production teams to create optimal sequences, monitor schedule adherence, and adjust sequencing to meet demand while considering downtime and material availability. ITAR/EAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or Bachelor's degree as required by role.
• 3 years’ planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sequence work orders in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for assigned products and lines.
• Monitor daily manufacturing performance against the schedule and address deviations.
• Review stock coverage to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
• Maximize utilization of shared manufacturing resources while aligning with the MPS.
• Ensure schedules are feasible, balanced, and include downtime.
