Job summary
IES in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide hands-on quality support for fabrication and welding operations on the production floor.
The role focuses on dimensional compliance, defect prevention, and continuous improvement, partnering with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements and ISO 9001 standards.
Candidates should bring strong data analysis, root-cause problem solving, and experience with quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or production.
- Experience with industrial fabrication, welding, machining, or heavy manufacturing.
- ASQ CQE certification is a plus.
- Strong data analysis and root-cause abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on quality engineering support for fabrication operations.
- Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality procedures.
- Analyze quality data and drive improvements in FTQ and scrap.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions and systematic problem solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on quality issues.
