Job summary

Trimac Transportation is seeking a hands-on Service Advisor in Spruce Pine, AL to lead frontline maintenance execution, vendor coordination, and compliance at our Service Centers. You will supervise service writers and administrative staff, acting as the main liaison between drivers, dispatch, vendors, and maintenance teams.

The role ensures preventive maintenance, repairs and tank cleaning are scheduled, tracked, and completed per internal standards and regulatory requirements, while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Business, Transportation, or a related field is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a service writer, maintenance coordination, or administrative supervisor role within transportation or mechanical services.
• Experience supervising staff and managing both shop and washrack operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Coordination: Supervise and coach service administrators and writers to ensure compliance, productivity, and professional communication.
• Customer, Driver & Dispatch Support: Act as primary contact for equipment and cleaning service inquiries; provide status updates and service recommendations.
• Vendor & Repair Coordination: Select and manage third-party vendors; review estimates for accuracy and cost efficiency; track repair orders.
• Preventative Maintenance & Compliance: Coordinate PM schedules and inspections to meet internal standards and regulatory requirements; manage follow-ups.
• Shop & Washrack Scheduling: Coordinate daily repair and tank cleaning schedules; track labor and parts for billing and cost allocation; assist with estimates.
• System Administration & Documentation: Use TMT and other maintenance systems to manage workflow and digital records; ensure proper scanning and attachment of forms and reports.
• Additional Duties: Support conflict resolution on repair scope; troubleshoot minor issues; identify process improvements.
