Job summary

LUNSETH is seeking a Shop and Fleet Manager to lead day-to-day shop operations, supervise crew members, and ensure safe, efficient production. You will drive efficiency, manage budgets, oversee maintenance programs for equipment/vehicles, and coordinate inventory and tooling logistics.

This role requires leadership and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes maintaining compliance, guiding the team, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to improve

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience related to the lawncare/landscaping industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to learn/operate software.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization skills.
• Able to do basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and plan for seasonal transitions.
• All repairs and maintenance performed.
• All vehicles' compliance requirements are maintained (tags, weight requirements, license plates, other DOT requirements/certifications).
• Work to achieve performance targets.
• Increase profitability through efficient work processes.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve operational performance.
• Take overall responsibility for the safe and efficient daily operation of production in the shop.
• Provide leadership and training to crew leaders and other team members.
• Implement a maintenance program to reduce downtime and track tools/equipment.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager on inventory and asset tracking.
