Universal Logistics Holdings is seeking a Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of the maintenance shop supporting the fleet and equipment. You will ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance while guiding technicians and maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities include scheduling work orders, managing inventory and vendor relations, and driving continuous improvement across maintenance processes to support uptime and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fleet, transportation, or industrial maintenance.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, material handling equipment, or related assets.
• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day shop operations including preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and breakdown response.
• Ensure fleet and equipment readiness to support operations.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders to minimize downtime and maximize asset utilization.
• Oversee inventory levels, parts procurement, and vendor relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and staff.
• Promote a safety-focused and accountable work culture.
