Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Welder to repair containers, fleet vehicles, and compactors in a shop environment and assist with field installations. The role requires MIG/ARC welding, fabrication, and safe operation of shop tools, with a focus on quality and customer service.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of welding experience or relevant technical training, be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and work a 6am–8pm Monday–Friday shift in Logan, OH.

Qualifications

Experience in welding and fabrication is preferred.
Ability to weld steel using MIG and ARC welding.
Familiarity with plasma cutting and metal fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

Perform sanding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling, welding on containers, compactors, or fleet vehicles.
Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
Fabricate steel components and cut steel with plasma cutter, saws, or torches.
Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with OSHA standards.
Complete required paperwork using computer systems.
Install lids, wheels, and lock setups on containers as needed.
