Job summary

M.E.S.O., Inc. is seeking a Shop Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain construction and industrial equipment across the Southeast. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, and apply independent judgment to complete repairs safely and efficiently.

You will document service work, order parts, and provide excellent on-site service. A strong mechanical background, tool ownership, and a commitment to safety are essential; 5+ years of experience, valid driver's

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background across engines, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and understanding schematics/diagrams.
• Possesses a full set of tools required for field repairs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, communication, and commitment to safety.

What you will do:

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across a variety of equipment
• Use independent judgment to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems
• Complete accurate service documentation as needed
• Order parts from vendors as required to complete repairs
• Provide safe, superior customer service on every job

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment; aerial equipment experience a plus
• Strong mechanical background, including various engine types, hydraulic and electrical systems, and construction equipment
• Experience using diagnostic tools and an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Ownership of tools applicable to the position
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
• Commitment to safe, superior customer service as a top priority
• High school diploma and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
