Job summary

M.E.S.O., Inc. is hiring a Mobile Field Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair construction, aerial, and dirt equipment on-site with minimal supervision.

The role requires hands-on technicians who can work independently and deliver top-tier service across job sites. Requirements include 5+ years of technician experience, a strong mechanical background, and the ability to pass background checks and DOT physical.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background, including various engine types, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ownership of tools applicable to the position.
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems across a variety of equipment.
• Travel to job sites to service equipment with limited or no supervision.
• Use independent judgment to diagnose and resolve issues in the field.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Complete accurate service documentation as needed.
• Order parts from vendors as required to complete repairs.
• Provide safe, superior customer service on every job.

• Ownership of tools applicable to the position
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
• Commitment to safe, superior customer service as a top priority
• High school diploma and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Must have an acceptable MVR
