Job summary

M.E.S.O., Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Mobile Field Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair construction, aerial, and dirt equipment on the road.

This role is built for a skilled, self-sufficient technician who can work with minimal supervision and deliver top-tier service wherever the job takes you. The ideal candidate is hands-on, independent, and motivated to travel to job sites to keep our customers’ equipment running.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment, including aerial equipment a plus.
• Strong mechanical background with engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and understanding schematics/diagrams.
• Owns tools applicable to the position and maintains them well.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical; valid MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to job sites to service equipment with limited supervision.
• Use independent judgment to diagnose and resolve field issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify problems and troubleshoot.
• Complete accurate service documentation as needed.
• Order parts from vendors to complete repairs.
• Provide safe, superior customer service on every job.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of technician experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment; aerial equipment experience a plus
• Strong mechanical background, including various engine types, hydraulic and electrical systems, and construction equipment
• Experience using diagnostic tools and an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Ownership of tools applicable to the position
• Strong teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
• Commitment to safe, superior customer service as a top priority
• High school diploma and valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and DOT physical
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Must have an acceptable MVR
