Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Shop Crane Technician-in-training who will learn under the Service Manager and the shop team. You will assist with inspections, learn crane-related repairs, and help ensure tools and equipment are maintained and safe to operate.

The entry-level role offers hands-on training, a pathway for advancement, a $25.00–$28.94 hourly pay range, and benefits including the company’s sign-on and education programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a general laborer or yard worker within construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• Mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics experience.
• Self-starter with initiative; ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• May travel to other locations for cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities of a Shop Crane Technician under the guidance of the Service Manager and other shop technicians.
• Assist shop techs with inspections and repairs.
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
