Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Shop Crane Tech Trainee to support the shop and learn the responsibilities of a crane technician. The role reports to the Service Manager and is located at the Ankeny branch.

The position offers hands-on training, a clear career path, and a pay range of $25.00 to $32.90 per hour. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 after 90 days and a Tool Reimbursement Program up to $1,500 per year are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as general laborer or yard worker in construction or heavy equipment preferred.
• Mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics knowledge.
• Self-starter with initiative and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Service Manager and other shop technicians, learns the responsibilities of a Shop Crane Technician.
• Helps shop techs perform inspections and repairs.
• Inspects tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Other duties as assigned.
