Job summary

PIRTEK Marion is hiring for a bench-based hose assembly role in Delaware. You will build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies, restock vans, greet customers, take payments, and maintain sharp inventory control. Training is provided; overtime and a monthly bonus are possible based on shop revenue.

Eligible candidates have mechanical aptitude, are comfortable with customers at the counter, and can lift 50 pounds. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with aptitude for hands-on repair work.

Responsibilities

• Bench build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies; measure, cut, crimp.
• Identify right replacement from a customer sample or spec.
• Greet walk-in customers, answer the phone, write service tickets, take payments.
• Keep inventory organized; restock service vans for field crews.
• Receive inbound shipments and handle local deliveries/pickups.
• Keep shop, tools and equipment clean and in working order.
• Assist with shop setup and van upfitting as we grow.

Build the assembly. Keep the shop running.

Every hose our mobile technicians install starts somewhere. A lot of them start at your bench.

You build assemblies for walk-in customers, you keep the vans stocked so our field technicians never show up short, and you are the first person a customer sees when they walk through the door with a blown hose and a machine sitting idle.

PIRTEK Marion is opening our Delaware service center this fall, and this is one of our first hires.

What It Pays

$19.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience, plus overtime at time and a half and a monthly bonus based on shop revenue.

Monday through Friday. No on-call, no nights, no weekends. You know what your week looks like before it starts.

You might be doing this now

Parts counter at NAPA, O'Reilly, AutoZone, or Advance. Quick lube or tire technician. Warehouse, shipping and receiving. Small engine or equipment repair. Hardware or farm store. Any job where you kept a stockroom straight and dealt with customers at a counter.

Hydraulic experience is not required. We will train you, and PIRTEK pays for it.

What You Will Do

• Measure, cut, crimp, and build hydraulic and industrial hose assemblies at the bench
• Identify the right replacement from a customer's sample or specification

Why this job matters here

We are an emergency service business. When a technician gets a call at eleven at night, whether that customer's problem gets solved depends on whether the right fitting was on the van. That is your work.

It is also a real trade. You will be trained and certified on PIRTEK equipment, and hose assembly is a skill you keep.

What We Are Looking For

• Mechanically inclined. Auto, off-road, equipment, or machinery repair experience is what we are after.
• Comfortable with customers, on the phone and at the counter
• Organized. Inventory accuracy is most of this job.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet
• Able to read a tape measure
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• High school diploma or GED
