Job summary

State of South Carolina's SCDNR seeks a dedicated officer to support Outreach First Sergeant and shooting sports coordinators in developing and promoting the agency's shooting sports programs across schools and clubs. The role includes visiting schools and clubs, assisting NASP and SCTS coordinators, and training instructors, with a strong emphasis on safety and outreach efforts.

A high school diploma and two years as a DNR Class 1 Officer are required; a 4% salary increase applies for

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two (2) years as a DNR Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer.
• Experience with shooting sports or archery safety is preferred.
• Ability to work with youth, teachers and volunteers statewide.

Responsibilities

• Assist Outreach First Sergeant and shooting sports coordinators with development and implementation of SCDNR Shooting Sports Programs.
• Assist NASP and SCTS coordinators with archery and clay target shooting programs.
• Visit schools, clubs, JROTC and other groups to promote agency programs.
