Zusammenfassung

Caleres is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager in Illinois to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager. You will motivate the team, engage customers, and ensure flawless execution of daily operations while upholding brand standards and our Famous Footwear family values.

You’ll coach associates, manage staffing and inventory, and partner with the Store Manager to drive sales targets and growth. The role requires a passion for shoes and delivering a superior customer experience.

Qualifikationen

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Demonstrates experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Exhibits an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store Associates at all levels.
• Displays ability to train, coach and develop Associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion partnering with Store Sales Manager, as needed.
• Demonstrates strong cognitive skills, including problem solving analysis, decision making, and financial and quantitative analysis.
• Has advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Can work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Has basic computer skills.

• Ace retail operations and staffing levels by managing pricing, shipping, inventory and using store standards as the framework for success.
• Leverage insights to deliver results by driving sales and working with the Store Manager to apply observations for improved performance.
• Be a culture builder by promoting diversity, inclusivity, and a positive mindset to boost retention and performance.
• Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand by stepping in when the Manager is away and developing leadership and store management skills.
