Job summary

EMR USA is seeking a Torcher to support day-to-day yard operations. The role requires torching metals to mill specs, inspecting PPE, and maintaining a safe, clean work area. The candidate should work independently or with a team, accepting overtime and varying outdoor conditions.

The ideal hire will have High School/GED and prior torching experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and wear respirator gear as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience torching and processing metals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe yard area.
• Torch cut ship/vessel sections to 2’x3’ pieces.
• Process ferrous and nonferrous metals to mill specifications.
• Identify hazards and follow PPE protocols.
• Perform PPE and torch equipment inspections before use.
• Work both independently and in a team, and be prepared for overtime.
