Responsibilities include operating torches, setting up equipment, inspecting materials, and coordinating with the team to meet production goals. Prior experience in torch cutting or welding is preferred, with a focus on maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Vocational/technical training in welding, metal fabrication, or industrial trades is preferred.
• Torch-cutting certifications or training are a plus.
• 1 year of torch-cutting or related metalworking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate oxy-fuel torches to cut and dismantle steel and other metal materials.
• Set up, operate, and maintain cutting equipment, hoses, regulators, and torch tips.
• Inspect materials and determine the appropriate cutting method and sequence.
• Prepare materials for processing, recycling, shipment, or further fabrication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Meet production goals with team members and work around heavy machinery.
