Job summary

SA Recycling in Wooster, OH is seeking an experienced Burner/Torch Operator to cut oversize ferrous material with an oxy-fuel torch to mill specs.

Role requires outdoor work in all weather, PPE use, and torch equipment maintenance. HS diploma required; 2 years torch experience preferred; bilingual a plus. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, weekly pay, uniforms and PPE, with advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• 2 years experience operating an Oxy-Fuel torch preferred.
• General knowledge of scrap metal processing preferred.
• Mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely stage materials for processing.
• Determine the cutting method to meet specifications.
• Inspect and maintain torch equipment for safe operation.
• Inspect work area for fire control and hazards.
• Work in hot conditions with PPE including respirator and face shield.
