Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in engineering and 4+ years of postgraduate engineering experience.
• Willingness to work extended and/or weekend hours.
• Experience in a shipyard environment is preferred.
• Previous leadership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Module Leads and General Foreman Support Engineers.
• Oversee engineering responses to emergent shipyard issues and communicate assessments to leadership.
• Direct daily support to trades for disclosures, work packages, and technical clarifications.
• Prioritize drawing revisions, change notices, and engineering actions to meet schedules.
• Set expectations for production meetings and report holdups and risks accurately.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning and Engineering to mitigate technical risks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering evaluations for manufacturing, construction, testing, and certification.
• Maintain awareness of shipyard policies and guide technical guidance accordingly.
