Job summary

Venture Dynamics is seeking skilled Pipe Welders to join our NAVSEA welding team at the Vigor Shipyard in Portland, Oregon.

Pay is $33.00 per hour with a $150 per diem for days worked by qualified travelers; candidates must be US citizens with Maritime OSHA 10 certification and able to pass NAVSEA tests. The position entails 40–60 hours per week with 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts and potential overtime, starting ASAP for a long-term assignment.

Qualifications

This role requires a proactive and detail-orientedprofessional to engage in Pipe Welding tasks, ensuring excellence in everyaspect of the job.

Key Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components inshipyard environments.
• Read and interpret weld symbols, blueprints, schematics,and job specifications.
• Ensure all welding tasks meet or exceed quality controlstandards and are ready for inspection.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensureproject specifications and deadlines are met.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensurestructural integrity and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass NAVSEA Pipe Welding certification tests.
• Strong ability to work from blueprints, schematics, andspecifications.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in shipyardenvironments.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Familiarity with welding inspection and quality assuranceis beneficial.
