Job summary

Qualifications

Experience in a shipyard, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of shipyard safety practices and industrial operations.
Basic working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding processes.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational priorities.
5–10 years of experience in a shipyard, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
Prior leadership or crew coordination experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Shipyard Foreman with daily coordination of crews, workflow, and task priorities.
Assist with estimating labor hours, materials, and project needs while supporting budget expectations.
Support task assignments and coordinate with the Shipyard Foreman and Purchasing Manager for materials and tools.
Observe work progress and communicate delays, hazards, or inefficiencies to leadership.
Maintain an active shop-floor presence to support productivity, quality, and communication.
Monitor project timelines and adjust priorities as operational needs change.
