Job summary

MSCCN seeks a diligent Hot Work Coordinator to manage shipyard hot work permits and safety processes. You will partner with ships force, contractors, and project teams to prioritize work, de-conflict schedules, and maintain accurate daily logs.

Responsibilities include oversight of permit submissions, daily reporting, and participation in Fire Safety Council activities. A minimum of two years in ship repair hot work is required, with strong communication and safety focus.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Hot Work process and Navsea standards.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in ship repair with hot work permits.
  • Familiarity with shipboard layouts and compartments.
  • Ability to review permits for clarity and safety requirements.
  • Understand IPS scheduling and production de-confliction.
  • Communicate with Hot Work Supervisor and Ships Management Team.
  • Proficient with Word and Excel for CFR reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate hot work permits with ships force and contractors.
  • Maintain daily hot work logs and track permit status.
  • Attend meetings with project team, contractors, and customer.
  • Deconflict hot work with other activities to ensure safety.
  • Generate CFR weekly recap and two-week forecast reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements during operations.
