Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–12 years of experience in submarine ship systems or Navy submarine qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of shipyard regulations, SSP, and DI/SSP procedures required.
• Familiarity with Watertight Integrity Permits and safety drills is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ships Safety Watch (SSW) duties and patrol the ship topside and below decks.
• Operate the Shipyard CASCON system and communicate with emergency response teams.
• Act as Dept. 272 POC, available to respond to Ship Safety issues when a Watch is not available.
