Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate responsible for loading, unloading, and moving product using RF scanning and lift equipment. You will verify items with RF guns, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety programs while supporting department needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma plus experience with shipping/receiving, RF devices, and industrial lift equipment. Weekend availability and the ability to pass a lift assessment are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass lift assessment (250 lbs push/pull).
• Ability to operate RF gun and lift equipment safely.
• Strong communication and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Pick up product from Staging Area and off load onto rack shelving units, floor locations, or stack racks.
• Scan merchandise with RF gun at placement and during movement.
• Unload from racks to dock/bay area as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

This position will require a knowledge of both Shipping & Receiving processes. Flexibility in job assignments as well as the versatility to work both equally well. In addition, the skill to operate Lift Equipment, RF units, and physical skills to lift or push / pull substantial product weight.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 (Depending On Experience)

Job Responsibilities

• Pick up product from Staging Area and off load onto Rack Shelving units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks
• When placing product accurately scan all merchandise utilizing RF gun
• Pick up product from Rack Shelving Units, Floor locations, or Stack Racks and off load onto Dock / Bay area
• When placing product accurately scan all merchandise utilizing RF gun
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Ensure full compliance of all safety programs both while operating and not operating material handling equipment
• All other duties as assigned

Competencies

• Technical Knowledge of WMS
• Experience using RF units & processes
• Accurate movement of product through use of product scanningli>
• Ability to drive Industrial Lift Equipment - Order Picker (comfortable with Height / Elevation)
• Ability to lift / move product
• Ability to work independently

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the department including weekends
• Must be able to pass lift assessment with a push pull requirement of 250 lbs
• Must be able to operate an electric lift, forklift, and tugger
• Must be able to operate an RF gun
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
