Job summary

Grammer is a global partner to the automotive industry with Automotive and Commercial Vehicles divisions. We develop and produce systems for interiors and seats for trucks, buses and trains, employing over 14,000 people in 20 countries.

We are seeking a Shipping Team Member to coordinate daily shipping activities, oversee loading, verify information, and support production and quality teams. Forklift operation and safe handling are part of the role, with opportunities for growth and ongoing

  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and labels prior to shipment.
  • Complete shipping paperwork and system transactions.
  • Coordinate loading of trucks and trailers.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and communicate issues affecting shipments.
  • Maintain organized shipping, staging, and storage areas.

What are your main tasks?
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities and work assignments based on shipment schedules and operational priorities.
  • Provide work directions and support to Shipping Team Members.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate the staging and preparation of materials for outgoing shipments.
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, labels, and shipping information prior to shipment.
  • Complete and verify shipping paperwork and required system transactions.
  • Coordinate loading of trucks and trailers.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and communicate changes or issues affecting shipment completion.
  • Identify and address discrepancies related to materials, quantities, labels, documentation, or system records.
  • Communicate unresolved shipping issues to the appropriate Supervisor or department.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Logistics, and other departments as needed.
  • Support training of Shipping Team Members on established processes and procedures.
  • Support inventory counts and material reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain organization of shipping, staging, and storage areas.
  • Ensure established safety, material handling, and departmental procedures are followed.
  • Perform Shipping Team Member duties as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
