Job summary

Quanex in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Team Leader to coordinate shipping and warehouse activities, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate order fulfillment. You will lead a team of up to 15, manage tickets, and collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (6:00 am–2:30 pm), an hourly starting rate of $23, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401K, ESPP, disability and life insurance, PTO, and tuition support.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required; previous experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a team of up to 10 to 15.
• Ability to move pallets, load trucks and move items safely.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use scanners.
• Ability to follow instructions, label cartons and prioritize shipments.
• Strong emphasis on safety and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Print daily pick tickets.
• Produce copies of paperwork where necessary.
• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date.
• Prioritize team duties with help from supervisor.
• Monitor and print expedite tickets throughout the shift.
• Pull finished goods inventory to fill customer orders.
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure on-time shipments.
• Match product and customer orders for correct quantities and labeling.
• Prepare UPS/FedEx shipments per customer requirements.
• Assist inventory activities including cycle counting.
• Coordinate routine and exception cycle counting.

This position will be responsible to coordinate the shipping and warehouse activities for the day-to-day activities necessary to ensure on time delivery objectives are met and the customer receives the product that they ordered.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Credentials:

• Forklift certification will be required; previous experience is preferred

• Ability to move pallets, load trucks, and move other items safely throughout the plant as necessary
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use scanners
• Ability to follow instructions, label cartons, and prioritize daily shipments
• Excellent understand of your responsibilities regarding safety and OSHA

The hourly rate of pay for this position starts at $23.00 per hour. Increase to starting pay depending on experience.
