Job summary

Quanex seeks a Quality Technician in Sioux Falls, SD to support shop floor quality throughout processes. The role emphasizes nonconformance handling, data collection, and action-tracking to drive corrective measures and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will train staff on our quality system, audit product standards, and collaborate with leaders to ensure defect reduction and enhanced reliability in production.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, cooperative, and a self-starter.
• Ability to read and interpret inventory cards, orders, and order numbers.
• Must be able to accurately compute numbers and maintain legible handwriting.
• Must work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Process Nonconformance Reports, Correct Action Reports, and Return Materials Authorizations daily.
• Monitor Corrective Action Reports to ensure progress toward correction.
• Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze data, and complete various quality reports.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to process and product specifications based on defects and customer complaints.
• Train employees on the quality system.
• Audit to and understand product and quality standards.

Quanex is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This position utilizes appropriate experience and technical training to provide quality support throughout all processes included in the shop floor Operations.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm

What Success Looks Like:

The hourly rate of pay for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, and would be commensurate with experience.
