Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Quality Technician to support shop floor quality across operations. The role focuses on handling nonconformance and corrective actions, data-driven quality reporting, and ongoing process improvement.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Must be able to accurately compute numbers and have legible handwriting

Responsibilities

• Process Nonconformance Reports, Correct Action Reports, and Return Materials Authorizations daily.
• Monitor Corrective Action Reports to ensure progress on corrective actions.
• Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Collect and compile data, analyze data, and complete various quality reports.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to process and product specifications based on defects and customer complaints.
• Train employees on the quality system.
• Audit to and understand product and quality standards.

Quanex is looking for a Quality Technician to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This position utilizes appropriate experience and technical training to provide quality support throughout all processes included in the shop floor Operations.

Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm

What Success Looks Like:

The hourly rate of pay for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, and would be commensurate with experience.
