Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in shipping and material handling.
• 3+ years working with computer-based logistics software or ERP systems.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Strong communication skills and professional attitude.
• Knowledge of LTL/FTL, INCOTERMS, and international shipping regulations.
• Knowledge of export compliance regulations (EAR, ITAR, or equivalents).
• Team leadership with ability to coach and set expectations.
• Proficiency with standard shipping equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).
• Ability to read/write English and obtain hazardous materials shipping certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead shipping personnel and daily activities, including hiring and performance management.
• Prepare packing lists and Bills of Lading for outbound shipments.
• Schedule and coordinate pickups with freight carriers for timely dispatch.
• Verify accuracy of shipping labels, packaging, and delivery information.
• Provide shipping quotes to Sales for estimates and returns.
• Maintain a safe, clean shipping area and follow safety policies.
• Communicate with Order Administration, Materials Management, Production and other teams to ensure on-time shipments.
• Update ERP systems with shipment information and maintain records.
• Develop new processes and KPIs to strengthen shipping and logistics.
• Manage shipping claims and carrier relationships; assist with pricing and contracts.
