Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States is seeking a Shipping Supervisor - 3rd Shift to lead third-shift shipping operations, oversee a logistics team, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will ensure on-time, accurate outbound shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, promote safety, and apply continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve service.

Strong leadership, 3-5 years in logistics, WMS experience, and forklift certification are preferred; a HS

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and team-coaching abilities.
• Experience in shipping, inventory control, and logistics operations.
• WMS experience and ability to use related business applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all third-shift shipping operations, including picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipment documentation.
• Supervise, coach, and support shipping team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Ensure outbound shipments meet customer requirements, company standards, and transportation regulations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies with inventory control teams.
• Investigate and resolve shipping issues, damaged materials, and delivery-related concerns.
• Promote safe operation of forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost performance.
