Job summary

JBS Foods in Michigan is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead a sizable team, coordinate loading operations, and ensure on-time dispatch of products.

Your role includes reviewing orders, inspecting materials for defects, training new staff, and enforcing safety standards while maintaining attendance and motivation.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of shipping experience.
• Able to work Saturdays and Sundays (50+ hrs/week).
• Past experience managing people.
• Great attendance.

• Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
• Observe work and ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
• Motivate and manage a large group of employees.
• Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
• This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
