Hanes Companies, Inc invites applications for a 2nd Shift Supervisor - Shipping. The role reports to the Shift Superintendent and requires enforcing policies, sharp attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced shipping environment.

The supervisor leads employees on the 2nd shift, ensures adherence to quality and safety standards, and drives continuous improvement through proactive problem solving and strong communication with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Familiar with company policies and enforce them for all employees reporting to you.
• Detail oriented to ensure accuracy in tasks and records.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop non-conformances and prevent recurrence related to products, processes, or services.
• Encourage continuous improvement and verify implemented solutions.
• Conform to quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Lead and communicate clearly to all employees for direction and motivation.
• Achieve safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction results.
• Operate and service various machines and perform related shop duties as needed.
• Provide training, feedback, and recognition; maintain neat production reporting.
• Coordinate with Order Prep and Customer Service on problem orders.

Primary Duties

The primary duties of the employee are (but are not limited to) the following:

• All employees have the responsibility to identify and stop further processing of non-conformances and take action to prevent non-conformances related to products produced, processes, services provided or the Quality/Environmental Management System.
• All employees have the responsibility to bring forth suggestions and participate in continuous. improvement process and verify the implementation of solutions.
• Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures
• Provide leadership and direction to all employees through open and clear communication
• Produce results in safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction
• Required to run various machines and perform utility related tasks as needed
• Responsible for filling in on machines, utility, and other shop duties as needed
• Promote employee morale and involvement
• Provide meaningful feedback and recognition
• Provide quality plans and work instructions
• Provide training for new employees
• Production reporting to be neat and accurate
• Communicate with Order Prep and Customer Service on problem orders
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace
• Perform other duties as assigned.
