Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the shipping department. This role requires managing shipping schedules, coordinating with other departments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling, and ensuring that products are shipped in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the shipping department.
  • Ensure that shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and according to deadlines.
  • Manage and train shipping staff to ensure productivity and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is available for shipment.
  • Review and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
  • Work closely with warehouse, sales, and logistics teams to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Address and resolve any customer or internal complaints related to shipping.
  • Analyze shipping processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track and report shipping metrics such as delivery times, accuracy, and costs.
  • Ensure that all products are packed securely and correctly according to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage shipping schedules to optimize delivery timelines and minimize delays.
  • Handle returns, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies in coordination with other departments.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, documentation, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in warehouse management software, MS Office, and shipping software.
