Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Shipping Supervisor on the 2nd shift for our Grand Prairie facility in Texas. You will lead a 5-10 person team handling receiving, storage, inventory, and delivery to customers while coordinating with manufacturing, purchasing, and planning to support production.

You will execute SAP-WM transactions, manage yard and dock operations, and ensure safe processing of orders with contracted carriers. Strong leadership and ERP skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in distribution, outbound shipping, or transportation management.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven leadership skills in warehouse and logistics operations with the ability to work with all organizational levels.
• Strong computer skills and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibilities include receiving, storage, inventory management, and delivery to customers.
• Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and planning to support production while leading a team of 5-10 members.
• Interact daily with manufacturing lines, project managers, and carriers to accommodate LTL and FTL requirements.
• Ensure safe and effective processing of customer orders for large high‑value equipment with contracted carriers.
• Schedule the team and assign daily tasks.
• Execute SAP‑WM transactions for daily shipping and material movement operations.
• Manage shipping functions, yard management, and dock operations.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in distribution, outbound shipping, or transportation management.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven leadership skills in warehouse and logistics operations with the ability to work with all organizational levels.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply‑chain management.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, or Continuous Improvement skills (APICS/CPM accreditation).
• Experience with SAP.
• Advanced Excel expertise.
